What is your refund policy?

All sales are final. No refunds will be given, unless you are registered for a live race and the live race is cancelled by the event organizer without cause. A date or venue change is not a cancellation.  For more details, including options to transfer and defer, please visit our Refund Policy here.

When considering refund policies for events of this type, it’s helpful to draw a comparison to live concerts or similar large-scale events. Just like a concert, where organizers must secure a venue, hire performers, and pay for lighting, sound, and security well in advance, endurance events involve significant upfront costs. These include securing permits, hiring staff and medical personnel, renting equipment, purchasing finisher medals, race shirts, and bibs, and ensuring proper safety measures are in place.

Once these costs are incurred, they are non-refundable for us, regardless of whether a participant attends or not. Just as you wouldn’t expect a refund if you couldn’t make it to a concert after buying a ticket, the same principle applies to your registration. The funds collected from registrations are immediately invested in creating a high-quality experience for everyone involved.

Additionally, many of these events rely on precise planning and budgeting based on the number of participants. Offering refunds could jeopardize the financial stability of the event and its ability to proceed as planned. To ensure fairness and the event’s success, most organizers, including endurance events and concerts, adopt a no-refund policy. This allows us to focus on delivering a memorable and well-executed event for all runners.

Can I move up or down a category?

Yes. You can do so in your RunSignup.com profile by going to “Manage Registration”.  If you are moving up to the half marathon you will be required to pay the difference in price. We don’t offer refunds for the difference in price when switching down to 5K.

Bathrooms are located at miles 3.2, 6.9, and 10.6.  There are no bathrooms on the 5K course.

Can I run with headphones?

No. We discourage the use of headphones on the course because with them in, it’s harder for you to hear the race marshals and oncoming traffic.

Is there a time limit?

We’ll keep the half marathon course open in accordance with a 3:30 hours finish time, or approximately 16 minutes per mile. We’ll keep the signs on the course up for the very last person, but water stops may be self serve in the later stops. A timer, clock, and medals will be available for everyone that finishes. There’s no time limit for the 5K.

Are the roads closed for the race?

The roads are NOT closed for this race. There will be police and race marshals at all major intersections helping direct runner and vehicule traffic. Please run on the appropriate side of the road and where there is a cone lane, please run inside of it. Stay within the cone lanes!

Where are the water stops?

There will be five water stations on the half marathon course at miles 2.1, 4.4, 6.2, 8.8, and 11.9, all of which will service Gatorade and water.

Are the race photos free?

Yes! Add the images you’d like to download to your cart. When you’re done, head to your cart and checkout. These images include the event’s logo. If you’d like to have the image without the logo, you can pay to download one without it.

When will race photos be available?

The volume of photos captured can take time to edit and upload. These are typically available the next day. We’ll send out an email to all registered runners once they are available.

Why can't I find my photos?

We understand how important it is to have a photo that captures your race experience. While the photographers work hard to capture every runner, there are instances where it may not be possible. Factors like runners being positioned behind others, a bib number being obscured by a jacket or other items, or a large group of runners can make it challenging to get a clear shot.

Additionally, while the bib-tagging software is highly effective, there are rare occasions when it might not correctly identify a runner. Unfortunately, in these cases, we’re unable to retrieve additional photos.

We genuinely regret any disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Is the half marathon course USATF Certified?

Yes!  The half marathon course is USATF certified.  The certification can be viewed here.  The 5K course is not USATF certified.
